I have a proposal for Sophcore. Let's keep track of our mistakes and successes in a concrete and visible way. We can do this through a success/suck point differential! Yay!
Success/Suck Differential Rules
+1, a score
+1, an assist
+1, a callahan
+1, a D
------
-1, scored on
-1, turnover (forced or unforced)
My differential for today was: +3. Pretty good right? (insanely good for me haha, good practice) Ho-yeah!!
+3 scores
+1 assist
+1 D
------
- 1 Turn, on a throw
- 1 scored on
For the past four practices I have compiled my Success/Suck Differential (SSD). I am now at +5 I think. Yay!
Now do this yourself.
--------------------------------------
Onto today's practice. Looking at my SSD, I did ok.
+beat people deep quite a bit
+got a D, played good D
+ cut out of the Ho ok
- flick huck was awful. need to take my time on the windup just half a second more.
- got beat deep force side in the endzone. stay on my man, and anticipate freshmen will do retarded stuff with the disc.
- Cody plays great D. Played me well out of the Ho and on Dump D. Im excited to see him turn into a beast the next few years. As for me, commit to a cut earlier.
Tristan
+ Getting open deep
+ Taking on those deep looks/throws well
- Your flick release terminates into your nipple. Not good form. It should release downwards.
- Having trouble timing your jumps for a disc
Nick
+ Beat a bitch deep
- Got beat deep
Bobby
+ Can't think of anything really.
Fabio
+ Can't think of much either.
Kyle
+ Dump cuts improving
- Cutting out of a Ho. Starting on the wing/rail/1 or 4, never stop moving. Doesn't have to be a sprint, but it has to at least be a jog. After movement is established, setup the cut in the middle of the field, where there is the most space.
That's it for now. Buh-bye!
I like it.
